BODY / OBJECT
IMBALANCED BALANCE

Imbalanced Balance is a series of twelve mouth-blown glass objects exploring shifting states of bodily balance. Developed in response to the experience of illness, the work considers what happens when a body no longer functions as expected and seemingly stable conditions become uncertain. Designed in relation to different parts of the body, the objects negotiate support, weight, restriction and adaptation. Balance emerges not as a fixed state, but as something continuously produced through changing relations between body and object.
